The thousand petaled lotus flower springs from the swampy mud. With deep roots anchoring and supporting a healthy system, the flower of life unfolds releasing the sweet nectar of knowing and Crown Chakra bliss.

Moving from innocence into wisdom may be challenging at times, but there are infinite rewards for taking the leap. Opening up our channels, pathways, and perceptions to higher consciousness and finding our unity with the divine . . . is divine!

The entire universe is within you. That’s a big concept to wrap a brain around . . . and that’s because it’s probably next to impossible to do so. We must go beyond our brains and minds into the realm of the universal. Big picture, Godhead stuff here. Glowing halos are present in many artistic interpretations of awareness and spiritual enlightenment. Christ, Buddha, and Saints are adorned with these divine energy light auras above the head.

You are amazingly magical and remind the rest of us we are as well! Be in awe of yourself and others. You, yes YOU, are whole and capable of accessing the treasure of awakening. Glow and be a lighthouse...a beacon of hope, grace, and joy. So many times we block ourselves from expansive freedom and peace because we’re telling the same worn out story to ourselves and others.

Everyone deserves a chance at freedom, and we must release in order to be free. Give yourself permission to wonder and wander aim-fully. Your soul sees the aerial view, not the seemingly treacherous mountain passes. Take part in activities that bring you pleasure and increase your vibration as well as facing the darkness. How can you shine light for the impoverished, the prisoners, the oppressed, the corrupt, and those caught in the cycle of conflict?

When we become accustomed to being plugged into our pure power source we become fearless. It takes strength to rise above the petty, to remove all labels and dissolve made-up boundaries between people, beliefs, and dimensions. They get in the way of what truly IS, clouding our minds with chatter, noise, and judgment. Yogis call this state of blessed and blissed oneness Samadhi.

Spend some quality solo time today and enjoy the recalibrating stillness. Give yourself time to transition from the chaos into a meditative place of receiving. Create a space where you will not be interrupted or disturbed. You may choose to sit on a pillow, block, chair, or the ground. Turn off all electronics and things that beep. Close the door, draw the curtains.

Consider creating an altar space for sacred objects meaningful to you. This may include photos, notes, affirmations, books, cards, incense, a singing bowl, a rich tapestry, candles, herbs, a smudge stick, fresh fruit, or flowers. Every sacred space is unique and individual.

Feel like some music? Listen to something instrumental without words or perhaps a guided meditation to help you settle and calm. You may want to do some breathing exercises before meditation to move energy, wake up, or relax.

In a comfortable seated position (which may be different for every body) balance yourself and utilize the power of posture by rolling your shoulders back so your shoulder blades are leaning in together for a kiss and your heart is open. Hold your head high, and keep your chin up . . . literally! Straighten your back. Let your hands rest on your knees, palms facing up in order to energetically receive and release.

Let your past and future, worries and doubts, rest in a little sleeping bag perched on a shelf in your brain. Acknowledge thoughts like a cloud in the sky, seeing them drift pass. Now... “be here now.” Go inward and open to your higher self and the divine, allowing messages, resolutions, and peace to enter. You are meditation. You ARE home, and you are OM.

Visualize a French press sieving your body from the top of your head down through your toes. This screen with tiny holes pushes down any impurities in your being, any dark matter lurking is slowly compressed through the chakras all the way down to your legs, ankles, and finally out the soles of your feet where we send the muck into the earth to be transmuted and purified. Soul to Sole.

Gracefully gather up the vibrating energy of the sacred and raise your arms wide overhead. Let your hands meet thumb-by- thumb, pinky-by-pinky, forming a lotus cup. Visualize a channel of powerful, pulsating energy emanating from the heavens down your spine, winding through ligaments, tendons, knees, and toes. Let this column of light flow and circle through you from crown to ground and back again.

Now that you’ve consumed the colors of the rainbow in juice form, consciously breathe them in. Visualize all the air surrounding you as violet. Deeply inhale and allow the color to permeate your being, bathing you with cleansing light. Stay present breathing in this color until you feel the process is complete, and then exhale fully.

Work your way down through the colors of the rainbow... indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. When finished working with red, ground the entire color spectrum through the soles of your feet. Feel the rainbow flowing through you from head to toe.

Take the meditation mindset with you when walking, skateboarding, washing the dishes, hugging trees, or whatever it is that keeps you in the place of connection with universal consciousness. When you’re in the sweet spot of communing with spirit you can be sitting on a pillow, plane, or motorcycle. Be your own Yoda.

Hit up a playground and hang upside down on monkey bars. They’re not just for kids! Do a cartwheel, or fold your body over while sitting or standing. Turning your crown upside down not only allows you a view from a different POV, but all the oxygen rich blood circulating through your beautiful brain is a tonic for improving memory and creating healthy, glowing skin. Have fun, laugh, and take chances. Things on Earth don’t always happen according to the timeline devised in our minds, but we do seem to get the information we need when we are ready to receive it. As we keep releasing the egos, stepping outside our comfort zones, and following spiritual messages towards what truly turns us on, interests from yesteryear begin to resurface, wisdom comes forward, and connections come full circle.
When you open your life up to trust the unfolding of the lotus blossom, you send the signal that you are receptive and open to the space where anything is possible. The Crown Chakra is infinite, transcendent, and invites us to elevate our spirits, exploring consciousness and our place in time and space.
